Baby update and some pics

Baby is doing everything he can to not be a July baby, in fact he might not even wanna be a June baby at this rate!

Here we are, 31 weeks 4 days. Who knew at this point that I'd have been on bedrest for 4 weeks at this point and we'd be considering the possibility of a baby in 2-3 weeks. *Looking around* Yeah, well me either. At the appointment today the fluid around the baby's upper body was super low and that was very worrisome for both us and the dr. Usually there are pretty black pockets of fluid surrounding the baby and you can see the profile of the baby pretty well, but not today. There wasn't much of a pocket to find around the upper body of baby D today and his profile was pretty hard to even distinguish given the fluid level. He did have a decent enough sized pocket around his umbilical cord but he should have enough fluid in all 4 pockets, not possibly one. This was pretty disconcerting but then the dr gave us even more crappy news and told us his right kidney is looking a little large and that could be the reason his fluid is low. Baby is supposed to drink the fluid and process it through his kidneys and then pee it out and the cycle starts over. If his kidney is large and there is a blockage there then he may not be peeing enough out to restore the fluid, hence low fluid. The kidney thing is common and the doc said that most babies with this problem don't have it once they're delivered. On top of all that my bp was a little high and she said since it's been gradually getting higher they're worried about that. Given everything she said to expect another 2-3 weeks but like in the past if things get rough and either the fluid gets lower or my bp gets higher then they'll deliver immediately. The bright side is that since babies with low fluid are typically in distress already, they mature faster and his lungs could already be developed. We're just hoping for a few more weeks for him to develop as much as possible so he has as little time in the NICU as possible if at all. Keep everything crossed and us in your thoughts please.

Now for the baby's room update...

And a few new ones of me...
